Massageand HSV 2

Im confused if I get a body massage from a massage therapist, can they get HSV 2? or if my daughter asks me to massage r shoulders can I give it to her?

No and no. Not unless the massage therapist is giving you a happy ending

The therapist would have to come in contact with the region where you get active outbreaks in order to be at risk.  If you have an active outbreak and the therapist touches the area, that is high risk.  If you do not have an outbreak and the therapist touches the area, it would be considerably lower risk.

If you do not have an outbreak at the time and the masseuse only touches regular skin (not mucosal genital skin), there is no risk to the masseuse. If you massage your daughter's shoulders, there is no chance you can give her herpes, unless you have an active herpetic hand infection at the time, or touched active genital lesions immediately prior (and massaged broken skin). In other words, both scenarios are fine and you don't need to worry.

Thank you

No happy ending thank you
