Hi Mel,
Can you tell me how long it took for your anxiety to go on seroxat.
I have been taking a generic version of paroxetine for 4 weeks now, still feeling very anxious most of the time.
Also trying to come off mirtazapine, got it down to 7.5mg and will try every other night from next week. Due to see psych in 2 weeks time for a review. I have had no side effects from the paroxetine and dont really want to give up yet. I was on it some years ago and it worked really well for me, but I cannot remember how long it took to work.
Best Wishes
Danielle
Hi Danielle
I can't remember exactly. I went back to work part time about 4 weeks after starting on them but was still suffering some anxiety and taking propanolol for a good few weeks to help.
Probably around the 7 week mark. I'm actually now on my 2nd day of reducing them in the hope I can come off them as I have been taking them for 6 months and GP said at least 6 months on them.
I'm really hoping I succeed without the return of anxiety or depression. Working hard on using the techniques my CB Therapist taught me just in case I start to slide.
Like you I have suffered no side effects and at the moment I feel really well in myself so would be great if these feelings continue minus the AD.
Good luck and keep us informed of your progress, it may well be that they won't work for you this time round  but fingers crossed that they will.

Thanks Mel your reply was much appreciated.
Does that sometimes happen, that they dont work second time round.
Was woundering if Im ready for an increase in dose at the moment Im taking 20mg, last time I was on them I went up to 40mg.
Thanks Again
Danielle
Hi Danielle
I would have thought so hun, as our bodies are constantly changing. Could though that you just need a higher dose? I was okay on 20 mg but that just goes to show how we all differ.
