Ruptura do menisco e muitos outros problemas prestes a passar por cirurgia

I had just had a surgery on my hand a thumb reconstruction ligaments and I can't have anti inflammatories -I just need to hear people's experience and also time needed realistically to recover as Dr always seem to underestimate ... Please if u cabin dreading surgery as I had a horrific experience with my hand in Nov and I'm scared ! Please share ur stories both good and bad

With the type pIn you are having I would ask to see a pain management specialist. Some times the way a bad leg will throw you so far off the norm it pinches the spine and fUses all sorts of nerves in the back. Sometimes an MRI will analyze the problem differently than the speciailist has originally diagnosed it. 6 years ago I though my hip was going bad and had an MRI. The 1st words out of the pain management guys mouth was "when are you scheduled for surgery?". Turned out I had a sever ed vcompression of L3, 4 ,5. I had a decompression surgery by a neurosurgeon and within 3 or 4 days I was completely out of lower back pain and within a week the leg and foot numbness had disappeared without the use of pain meds. Went another 3years before the tumor that plagues me came back and are up enough bone to cause the prosthesis to break loose and move around on its own. Of course with each movement it would irritate nerve endings driving me nuts. I then had to have a revision and that was the beginning of 6 more surgeries. I've no we had 11 on the leg/knee but my situation is rare and unfortunate.

Morning Samia..

We have some similar issues....I had my left hip replaced in 14 followed by Ulner nerve surgery on my elbow in 15 followed by meniscus surgery in Nov of 15 and tkr 3 weeks ago because of Osteoarthritis and RA. Just did one knee the other will be done in 6 months. You must be going through heck (can't swear on this site). I find it tough to stay positive during these situations but I know by having my problem identified and working with a good a surgeon I'm relieved to know it will be much better after surgery and rehabilitation are completed. The pain your in right now is getting you nowhere at least with after surgery pain you will be on a mend and get back to using your leg pain free. Don't be fooled, recovery does take time but if you follow the recovery guidelines by resting, staying ahead of your pain by using pain management, doing your PT and use this forum to vent, discuss and just talk to others you WILL get through this and it WILL get better! I wish you all the best with you surgery and let us know how things went after you've had time get home and start recovery.

Take care and keep in touch.

Went to surgeon today. He will clean meniscus up on Wednesday. Says I can go back to work two weeks later but light duty for a month. Says fracture is hairline and this and MCL will heal in the three weeks I'm out. I'm praying. Keep me posted on you and I'll do the same

I go to pain management which is a plus. Surgery to clean meniscus up on Wednesday. Pray you do well. Keep me posted and I'll do the same
