Menopace

having just read another discussion it seems Menopace has helped some people, has anyone taken this or Menopace Plus? Am really trying to find something that helps? My head has been funny all day and my stomach has been aching all day.

Hi ruth, my sis in law swears by menopace and is feeling better.

I am perimenopausal an have been reading about it on here an some great ladies havegiven me some great advice especially for supplements to take that may help with my symptoms.

So, recently I have been taking high doses of vitamin b6 and b12.im not sleeping very well either so I have been taking magnesium an hour before bed an im sleeping so much better.

Hi Ruth

i never used menopace, even the plus seems to have so little of each vit..

i just used the vits that i knew worked for me.. ( i had a ten year peri )

i found Rainforest food Maca 5.1 amazing in peri and still take it post meno.

100mg B6 is very good for anxiety, etc etc .

B12 5000mcg for energy

Vit E 400iu

solgar Chelated Magnesium .. ( doesnt upset the stomach like citrate and oxide)

1000mg Kelp ( simply supplements) as was having hair loss, took it for years, then i stopped for a while and my hair was coming out again, now its all stopped now i restarted it a few months ago.

i take a few supplements and vits

Good luck

Hi Jayneejay

i have read that Maca root can make you gain weight and make your bum and boobs bigger? Did you experience this as I don't want that to happen, also how long did the Maca take to work and how much did you take! Thanks Jay, it's so good to have someone to talk to about this.

I take Macca but just started about 6 weeks ago and no difference in bum or boobs.  I take 500mg per day.X

Thanks Margaret😊 has it helped you?

hi ruth

I'm a big fan of Menopace Original.  I bought that without too much consideration of its RDAs; whether it was enough for me; whether I'd need to top up. I just thought I had to get a grip of myself as I was a miserable cow and ached like a 90yr old!.  I just needed to start with something as at the time (Xmas) I felt very low.

Started taking it on 1st Jan.  Can't actually tell you when I felt its benefits because I was still p*ssed off at having yet another Period - 5 days after finishing my 'Xmas Present'mad!!

But what I did notice, was how well I felt once I actually stopped bleeding.  My mood was really, really good, like I was on a 'Legal High' ha, ha!  That lasted a good while, and when I eventually came down (I sound like a right Junkie!!), my mood continued to be really good.

But the thing for me is that the aches and pains in my joints, namely left shoulder and then elbow have improved 1million per centsmile!

I can only imagine I was as low as you can go in ALL the vits & mins so would obviously feel the benefit of taking some.

I hate taking meds of any description, so doing individual vits/mins probably wouldn't work for me.  So if I can feel this much better on one tablet a day = result!!

I believe there's some ladies on this forum who will be a great source of info for you regarding all-things vits/mins.  You need to get a nice balance for you personally, and I think, quite rightly 'jayneejay' has advised you have a look at one of her earlier posts.

As I say, its all good stuff and probably more informative than anything your GP could offer you!

If you're considering Menopace, maybe have a look on the product's website.  I know they're very popular in the UK, if that's where you're based.

Thanks Shaznay.

Hi, it is difficult to say as I take it with other things too but tingling in hands has gone, sickness not so bad now and dizzyness gone.  Bladder problems remain though and anxiety not much better.  I also take a multi vit, vit C, B complex and rose hip for joints. I think it is worth a try.XX

I am actually when I use up my supplements going to try Menopace as one it is a nuisance taking all the tabs and it is also expensive. Especially improvement in joints...that would be brilliant.XXX

Thanks.

Hi ruth

i am one of those that lost weight in peri and still in post meno..

i didnt gain any weight at all .. I lost it...

infact i only weight 114 lb ( 8 stone 11 ) i am 5ft 6

lost more lately but have been abit poorly..

weight fell off me over peri and post meno, never been over weight, but was heavier than i am now..

B6 helps with peri weigh gain, and muffin top tummy..

When i think back Maca took about a month to kick in, thats taking daily, no fogetting. I take what i mentioned above, x 1 its equivilant to 2500mg just one capsule.. ( rainforest food Maca 5.1)

i shared info on another discussion about it and how good it is for menopause and sex drive etc..

Forgot to say..

i used Estroven Max also for a couple of years that was good..

tried Menapol plus ( simply supplements) for a long while but didnt rate them for me ... I dont take either now, as post meno ..

still have my 150mg B6

150mg B1

B12

Solgar Chelated Magnesium

Maca 5.1 capsule

Vit E 400iu

Vit C

Natecal ( Calcium and Vit D)

1000mg Kelp.

That seems to work for me ..

you will find tour own balance as you try things, it takes time, and they need a few weeks to take effect .

Margaret

Believe me when i say I felt like I was aching like a 90yr old!!  I have to say that I have been amazed at the improvement since taking it:  I must have been so low in EVERYTHING!!

I know exactly what you mean about the expense. We could spend a fortune on things we think will help us, but might in fact not.

I can't be doing with taking loads of pills each day:  1 Menopace suits me fine!

Even better:  it seems to be on offer in most shops.  Best bargain I found: Superdrug '3for2' £8.50-ish.  Or '3 for £10' in Asda.

I hope you find the joint relief I've found when you finally get round to trying it.  Sorry, but I can't actually indicate how long it may be before you feel its benefits, but when you do.......you'll knowsmile!

Thank you. I wake up and ache like mad and I do loads of exercise including stretching, mobilisation and strength work so I should not be like this.  Makes me just feel old and obviously sore and uncomfortable.  Superdrug here I come!!!!XX

Hi Ruth

I do not take any supplements for menopause, my doctor said it won't really help the symptoms go away because I did ask her about menopause multivit and she told me no.

Its up to you and your doctor on what you should take because supplements work differently with everybody it may be good for you or it may cause you more symptoms that you do not need so you and your doctor have to make the best judgement on this

Hope your stomach and head feels better just be careful what you take
