Hi I'm about just 2 years into mine also on hrt patches estradiol 100mg. Because we're having a really hot summer my hot flushes have come back nit as bad but there back. I also suffer frequent migraines they are worse now than before menopause i spoke to dr who assured me this is quite common . My anxiety is the worst i never suffered from it before i have tried exercise trying to keep my mind busy which does help but when i'm by myself it's awful. Don't worry from what i have been told it is the new norm so i'm trying to make the best of it . I feel for my partner it is really hard on him the intimate side of things just isn't there for me atm i hate menopause
Hi Debi I am the same with the headaches and I too get a terrible thirst at night time. I read some here that it can be due to falling oestrogen levels. At times, especially at night, I feel like I need a fire hose down my neck I am so thirsty and it is always with a headaches. I use to get them all the time but they have eased but I still get them. I normally take 2 x paracetamol and 2x ibruprofen if really bad a this is the only thing that touches it,,, and sleep.
Debi, this is all the change and try not to worry - and by the way, I am the queen of worry! I call them hormonal nights... Hang tight. You are not alone or dying but your body is transitioning and it is awful hard. Keep checking in here for support when it gets rough to reach out!!
Big hug - CK
thanks i really need some support x
Hi debi, sounds like your meno symptoms are popping at you, the same as mine are at me. I get headaches like those, they frighten the hell out of me as Ive had numerous mini strokes so they really worry me, but I have regular full bloods done, they've never been better so I just make myself calm down and tell myself it's just the menopause and its tricks again. Just take your paracetamol and relax and try a forehead cooling pack or a cologne stick these help relieve tension and stress and help to relax you. You are not alone with these crazy symptoms coming and going, it happens to most of us. Hang in there. X
