Menopause symptoms chills

I am nearly 54 not had a period for a few years now experiencing shakyness and chills feel like I have the flu then feel warm. I feel so unwell for a few days after. Having bladder problem nausea just feel tired all the time.   Have had these symptoms for the last 4 weekends then goes away for a few days. I am so desprate to feel myself again. Have had blood tests waiting to see urology, GP says it all down to the manopause. My life is on hold at the moment. Anyone else have these symptoms, at my wits end.

Your not on your own.

Hope we both get sorted soon x

Hi Jenny all part of the menopause it's like one thing goes & another symptom pops up ? Ive been menopausal now for a few years & get symptoms of one or another, i do take HRT which helped with all the worse symptos, much better now.

Dear Jenny

Along with many symptoms I did have the chills, at the time I had gastitis but I think it was a seperate symptom! I also had the nausea flu feeling. I am two years poat meno but still have symptoms return xx

Hello Mars 777 My worse symptom is the urge to wee most of the time I think I am getting a bit obsessed with it Have a GP appointment tomorrow might ask about HRT have been given ovestin cream not been on it long . Trying to do pelvic floor exercise and retraining my bladder. have only had symptoms for 2 months have a long way to go.

Hello pinkcatfairy

Could not find any mention of chills only hot flushes it did worry me a bit glad I am not alone.

Hello Julie, it is good to know there are other women with my symptoms, can put a man in space but not help more with menopause.

We need answers. xx

Dear Jenny

I know it helps to know we are not alone! I think I have read before about chills in meno. Thankfully that symptom did pass and hopefully it will for you x

Hi Jenny

I have been experiencing vaginal burning for over two months along with chills, tremors and nausea. I have been to the GP a few times. GP has given me a cream called Vagifem. I went to the hospital and the doctors prescribed Ovestin cream. After a few applications I started getting very anxious and nervous. I was unable to drive because of the anxiety.

I had my menopause without any dramas about 12 years ago. I am experiencing all these problems now. I hope to get an appointment with a gynacologist and hopefully she will sort it out.

It is frustrating to be so unwell for so long.

I have the same symptoms and more. Feeling cold all the time. Tremors, muscle tightness, fatigue, insomnia and digestive issues. I notice your post was from two years ago. Has your symptoms calm down ? My GP does not believe all those symptoms are menopause related. I am hoping to get HRT.

i have had this and im ten yesrs post..last couple of years have been worse .didnt suffer in.peri as i didnt know..my periods just stopped at 42 am now 52..i get the shakes chills etc..like i have permenant flu..fatigue 😢is the worse..post is for life and it needs to be recognised more..it also comes and gos

i am thinking of get HRT. i couldn't stand the flu symptoms and tiredness.

Hey Jenny

I have experienced that to... lie in bed and all of a sudden I start shivering... my body feels hot and burnt all the time and achy just like when you have the flu.. def menopausal symptoms... I also at some stage developed uti .... but that to is related to menopause!! your body is just so susceptible to feeling crappy... hang in there ....

We are all with you in this.... sending you hugs! Tams

Hi Bridget

Is your GP maybe a man? I would be most interested.. These symptoms are def related to meno... us ladies on this forum have all experienced it and we are all either peri, meno or post... hormones really mess us up.. it sucks...

Tams

Hi Tammy, You guessed it right. my GP is a man. He is not comfortable prescribing HRT. I am not sure if it is the right choice to go though. Bridget

Hi Bridget

I know what you mean man... my dr prescribed HRT and I am terrified of taking it... it is still in my bag!! My mom had a stroke, my dad had thrombosis, high BP is genetic, no cancer in family though, I never had kids, still have uterus and one ovary, but I am still terrified of it.. my dr prescribed estradot but no progesterone... I am sure that is a mistake!! I have to go back to him... I am also sure I am at risk and should not take the stuff... Ag I am so confused...

Sending hugs your way Tams

christine, i would swear iv wrote this post! Everything your saying is me 10yrs without period then bam last 2yrs has been hell on earth with every symptom known to man! Just want some rest bite now ! Hope you start feel better soon . x

i am so glad to read this its my 4th weekend feeling sinus full, tired, shaky as if cold but warm to touch. im peri menopause so still having 8 long day periods never entered my head it was all symptoms i was going to ring the doctors again tomorrow, ive already had antibiotics but not fully shifted.

Hey Jenny...

I, too, have chills and they are like a rollercoaster! What I have learned about menopause is this: The GOOD & BAD days come in WAVES!! Hence, one day you're on top of the world; then the next day the world is on top of you! The symptoms are RENTLENTLESS!! Having said that, be well my menopausal sistah!
