I take 5mg of buspirone twice a day and I know you're not suppose to drink alcohol but I did twice already. The first time I drank 6 beers within 3 hours and I felt ok afterwards. The second time tho i drank 6 beers within an hour and my legs started feeling tingly, weak and heavy and the sensation crept up my body specially my arms. Could this be bc mixing alcohol with my meds or just a new symptom from my anxiety?

Sounds like just the alcohol and anxiety. I usually get like that from alcohol when I’m not on any medication. I’m on the same dosage of buspirone and got drunk on vodka I was fine but the next day my legs felt like they got hit by a truck they were so sore. I was thinking maybe it was the buspar but could of just been dehydration.

Thank you Jenna for your input. I was asking bc tomorrow is my birthday and I want to enjoy a few beers but nervous too. I do think tho that it was just my anxiety reacting to the beer.

Drugs and Alcohol in the amounts you say can prove a problem over an extended period can be problematic.
Drinking in moderation 2/4 Units, Two points may be ok, so drink and moderation, less than ten units should be ok if you take drink over the complete week not a couple of days or one night.
Some people could feel bad after two units so know your limits and do not drink just because the company is knocking it back.
I have 2 Scotch Treats a week and one pint Cyder twice a week a total of 8 Units.
