Does anyone open their eyes and have anxiety and a sense of dread or a scared feeling when nothing is happening
Hi Lynn yes my anxiety starts as soon as I open my eyes. I start over thinking and obsessing and I get a feeling of dread and scared to face another day alone and with thoughts and panic. Never felt this way before everyone abandoned me and my whole world changed. Not coping at all now. I hope you find some relief soon. Take care
for some reason anxiety is very common first thing in the morning. The best thing I do is get up right away instead of laying there because if I do, my mind starts racing and I think negative thoughts that make me more anxious. So I get up and get going with my day . I have to fight the negativity so I make myself think of everything I am grateful for in my life. Force myself to think positive thoughts otherwise the negativity takes over. Hang in there and best to you!
I know how u feel they upped my dose of citalopram an it’s been 4 weeks for me now I went back an they said it take 4 to 6 weeks to see improvment but i thought I would see some by now!! I can be all down to your panic attacks and anxiety, everyone is different, so it is up to you , if the need arises to talk about your problems with your GP.
Have you tried Breathing Techniques or Relaxation Technique Mindfulness, there are books on Amazon for about £8.00 stg , There are breathing techniques explained on the internet

yep. mornings are my hardest times. your body produces more cortisol in the morning. its purpose it to help you get up out of bed and get moving. but bc people like us who have anxiety, we take what our bodies feel that is normal and automatically think something is wrong. when you wake up, lie in bed for a few and breathe slowly in and out your nose. breath down into your stomach and not so much your lungs. breathing through your nose in and out allows more carbon dioxide to allow oxygen to be carries throughout your body to all of your organs. you can read about nose breathing and anxiety online better than i can explain it.
morning anxiety is the worst ..I used to wake every morning and it was there .tried breathing exercises to no avail .I’m on sertraline and quetiapine…I am a lot better so there is light at the end of the tunnel even when it seems there isn’t
