Dies any one with LPR have tongue problems?
I get this burnt tongue feeling all day. Like chapped feeling and a bit of dry mouth.
Yes I get a dry mouth, coated tongue and what feels like a burned tongue at the front
Do you have any suggestions on how to deal with it. I also get the costed tongue.
I have been doing a low acid diet and drink water all day. I eat raw aloe vera for my throat which pretty have made my throat symptoms go away. Or at least feels a lot better. I am not taking any medications. I am trying to deal and heal without the ppi .
But I can't seem to get a break on my tongue.
I do oil pulling with coconut oil , I she's gum after meals. And I bought a mouth wash for dry mouth. But nothing seems to help.
My chemist helped me by recommending Vit B12. I chose spray ones. hope it helps.
I hav dry mouth due to medications for my autoimmune issue, but I use dry mouth toothpaste, I didn't know there was such a thing. It's much more soothing. Stuff with mint in it burns my tongue.
Just give it time And try and not worry too much. Salt Walter mouth washes,don't eat food that's too hot, use a low sodium toothpaste and just try to ignore it. I'm on ppis,theh help a little with the bad taste I used to get but to be honest they don't do much else. I was out on them originally to help with the lump in the throat feeling
The burning mouth and tonge is a hard one. I used to suck ice lollies and ice cream and always have a bottle of water handy for the dry mouth. With my esOmeprazole the acid eventually went and the burning has almost gon but the coated tinge and dry mouth is still with me. My dentist gave me a dry mouth gel and my doctor gave me a treatment for oral thrush which gets rid of the coated tongue ad it showed up to be oral thrush but it comes back.
