Must I treat phimosis?

Well, today I discovered that my inability to retract my foreskin is a medical condition. This is a little embarrassing, I am 25 y/o and never have I saw my Glans penis, since I can remember myself it always been under my foreskin. I thought it was normal that way, that only circumcised men can unveil the penis head, but apparently everyone should be able to do it. Must I seek treatment even though it never bothered me? I can pee and musterbate without any issues and though I'm not very sexually active, the few times I had sex(with a condom) I havn't felt anything was wrong, It's just been like this since forever, should I really try to fix something that I didn't even knew was broken till today?

That's an interesting question. If it ain't broke don't fix it. However you should clean under your foreskin or you could develop some skin irritation or worse, an infection. I think it is a question for a doctor to answer. I'm cut and I wish I wasn't. It happened at birth so I didn't have any say in the matter. If you talk to a doctor, you should ask if there is anything he/she can do short of circumsion to correct the "problem". Don't let the doctor talk you into being circumsized if you don't want to be. Get a second or third opinion. If you don't care whether you are circumsized or not, then getting circumsized will solve the problem for you.

I seems you have a condition called phimosis. Please don't worry.

If you can urinate, masturbate and ejaculate without a problem, it's OK!

Ideally, your foreskin should retract when masturbating or having sex, but if it doesn't and you (and your partner) are happ - just enjoy it as it is!

There is an ointment you can apply to the tip of your foreskin to loosen it, which can sometimes be effective. You can ask your doctor about this.

I hope my reply helps...

Oops - 'happ' should have read 'happy'!

It would be interesting to have a woman's perspective on this for when you and she might want to have unprotected sex.

I very much doubt if many would be willing to give you unprotected oral sex for example.  I would certainly advise seeing a doctor for alternatives

I feel like a real idiot, how can someone be alive for 25 years and not know basic anatomical facts like these? Anyway, I can't clean under the foreskin, is too tight around my penis, there's only a straw sized hole threw which I pee and ejaculate, it's been like this since always and the foreskin is not very flexible.  my Urologist instructed me to massage the area while gradually attempting to stretch the foreskin. I'll do that for a while before I consider circumcision.

I'll definitely inquire about that ointment. Thank you.

Protected oral sex (i.e. with a condom) would be a very strange activity and something I've never heard of.

I must disagree with your assertion that a woman would not wish to give oral sex to a man with phimosis. I speak from experience. It's enjoyable for both the woman and the man.

I bow to your superior knowledge but I cannot imagine anyone doing it with a penis which is not spotlessly clean and odourfree!

We may live in different words [or continents] regarding protected oral as - although I largely agree with you - it's not been unknown with me - and I shower regularly!
