Hi there. I was wondering if anyone has used natural alternatives to fighting depression and anxiety, such as St Johns Wort, Cod Liver Oil, Magnesium....... And if they had any benefit?
My partner is reluctant to try Meds and i thought this might be better for him if theyl have some positive effect. Any help is appreciated

Hi, my friend is trained in giving advice with alternative remedies. She recommended L-Theonine and Lemon Balm capsules as she has recently been on a training course/information seminar and was impressed by these. I haven't taken them yet as they are a bit big for me to swallow!! And i'm scared of everthing at the moment!! I'd be interested to know if your partner finds something that helps. I'm feeling a bit exhausted with it at the moment!! x
I have taken supplements for years, even when on anti depressants. I honestly think they help me. Tell him to try different ones, and see what works for him. I found that 5-HTP and St John's Wort did not seem to make any difference, but it is worth a try. I take Omega 3 high dose, VitaminB complex, Multi vitamins and minersl, Kalms, cold liver oil, and Vitamin D. I would take anything I thought would help. I am always reading about this subject and trying new supplements. Just started one to help me sleep.
