Neck tention and low estrogen??

Hello ladies im a 22 years old girl with no history of neck pain . Before 1.5 years i was in my secon semester in colleage when i expirenced a sever pain in my neck The pain started at the second day of my period i didn't get any injury or accident it's happened in a regular day . So i was in a complete miss beacause the pain is destroying my life the pain is in my nech region and in my shoulder it's feels like my neck is tight and my shoulder too . The pain can be sever some months and other mild but the pain is chronic i have it every day i did all the tests that comes out clear except that i have low estradiol level and high fsh does low estradiol can cause neck tention ? I need to know because i live in a nightmare because of the pain .

Other symptoms i see that changes every month

Dry eyes

Mild to sever low back pain

Fatigue

Shortness of breath

Brain fog

Chronic Neck tention

Upper and low back pain the changes every month

Pain in neck lymph node that happened last month

What can i do with the neck pain that won't go away im still young to have that pain that can be sever is it because of my hormonal imbalance ?does anyone have that pain and resolve it when taking estradiol ? =( help me plz .

Maybe you have anxiety causing these symptoms.

If it is from low estrogen, maybe try the birth control pill and see if these symptoms go away? Then you would know for sure.

Thank you for your comment . I don't have anxiety at all but as i said it happened in 2nd day of my period . I have low estradiol how can i take birth control pills ? The pils have progestron only and my proplem is with estradiol not progestron !! Thank you for your time.

Do you mean the estrogen patch ?

There are bc pills that have both estrogen and progestin. Thought maybe if you try that, and regulate your hormones your symptoms might lessen. I’d ask a gyn.

Hmmm i think you are right i should take that type of pills to find if my syptoms stop . Gyn in my country coast a lot of money i think i will go to a pharmacy and see what he will tell me thank you for ur replay .

I think that you need to see your gyn. Are your periods regular? Maybe you have a primary ovarian failure, a condition that the ovaries don’t produce the sufficient amount of hormones and we need to take these hormones with exogenous hormones.

Yes my fsh level is 15 and it shouldn't be in these range and im still a girl but what is the exogenous hormones ? I will go to see a gyn soon i hope he can help me with that too .

If our ovaries cannot produce the hormones we should have then we have to take them with pills or patches. Something like diabetes, if you have not insulin, you have to take it with an exogenous way.

I’m in the same boat but older than you and I am on hrt. Take care! smile

Im glad that you are replying my quesrtions i have will go to see a gyn in 25 of this month what was your syptoms before taking hrt ? And how do you feel now ? I will talk to the doctor and see what he will say .

I had insomnia, insulin intolerance, body aches, bone aches, night sweats, dry mouth, dry eyes and forgetfulness. My FSH a year ago was 12 and after some months was 35! My first gyn left me without help and I was in despair. I visited another and he said that I have to take hrt immediately cause the lack of estrogen at young ages can cause severe problems at our health later in life. I feel like my old self on hrt, it took me about 3 months to adjust and it’s great. My only concern is that I don’t want to stop it! I want it forever! 😂

This could definitely be hormone related since I have had the same symtoms since getting my mirena inserted in september 2017. Three days after having it inserted I developed severe neck tension, headache, tension and pain between my shoulder blades, jaw pain, a sore lymph node behind my jaw, brain fog and more. It was at its worst the first two months after insertion, then these symptoms (+ other symptoms) have flared up every month with ovulation. Now I have recently had it removed to see if it gets better. Have you had any other symptoms besides the neck pain?

hello and I am sorry for your problems...

I am also quite young ...I will be 32 in summer and since 2016 I have many peri symptoms

I am experiencing all of the symptoms that you mentioned.

For dry eyes I am using natural tears and eye gel... For neck tension and shoulder pain I resort to painkillers

My last blood result showed an fsh of 20,5 and low estradiol 23...Obviously, these results are not compatible to my young age! I am leaning to a weird hormonal disorder! I am still having regular cycles but I cannot bear all of my symptoms...the fatigue, the sudden drop in my blood sugar etc...To be honest, I am scared a lot for my healthsad

I do not know if the pill is always  the appropriate medical solution for every woman because in some cases the pill may lower even more the estradiol and testosterone levels and may deteriorate the existant estrogen deficiency symptoms! Unfortunately, each case is unique ...

You are right, hormonal imbalance is a living nightmare!

Hello Vicky,

when your fsh reached 35 your periods had stopped altogether?

Did you have any initial side effects on the pill? What do you mean "adjust to it" ?

I am asking because I have read many women who had terrible headaches and exhibited severe depression on the pill and had to stop it...there are conficting experiences!!

Although, It is very encouraging that you feel better on it!smile

Omggggg my first gyn also left me without any treatment and i lost so alot of money to take something that stops my syptoms i was so sad i can not belive that he do not think that all my syptoms are serious so now im going to see anthoer gyn hpefully he can help me restore my old self too all your syptoms is quiet scary to live with i hope all the girls and womens around the world gets better and find solution with there proplem . You i was happy to hear that hrt helps you and yes my syptoms become sever last couple of monthe espacially neck pain . I become completely diffrent because of this proplem my life has changed . The strange think is that my pain comes and go or become sever before my period i mean my neck flares up 4 minute and leave suddenly like i dont have pain !!

It's strange that you syptoms become worse after taking the patch may be if you changed you will feel better . My neck tention started as i said 1.5 years ago in a regular day and it become chronic some days i dont have the pain but other days it comes suddenly without any reasons after that i other syptoms have came like less conecntration / feeling im going into a coma / fatigue / heart palpitation / sadness / pain in ovaries before periode / very dry eye * some months / light periode that last 1 and half day / insominia / body ache / restlessness / sore muscles / sever back pain *some months and the most chronic pain is neck tention and shoulder if it become sever i can feel it in my throat and chest . It's like having inflammation the strange thing is that it can just go away without any reason so i searched in the net they say it's maybe cuz the hormones change at any time . As i said i have low estradiol and high fsh . There was a women who said that your hormones is just like a women at her 37 years old which mean perimenopause .

Im so sorry to hear that im trying to figure how i can eliminate the syptoms

What i do now is

# taking magnesum 300mg before going to bed to make sure i can get goo sleep.

# taking evining primrose oil 2 tablet a day

# soya milk 3 to 2 time a week

# avoide lots of carb or fat to stop my bloating proplems

# what i found that i have high cholestrol * 5.8 it should be less than 5.3 that is mean i have to be away from fat .

# taking zinc

# TAKING vit C

# last one is taking vit e

I hope that help you and the girls how replayed to me .

I will try to take hrt as a patch and put it directly into my back neck IF the doctor will give it to me .

I talked to a pharmacist couple of days ago he tolde me you should change your doctor if he refused to give you a treatment beacuse that's not right .

Upp

Hi! I had regular periods but too severe symptoms. Our body needs time to adjust to the new hormonal state. It takes time for it! Believe me the majority of gyns have no idea! It was very hard for me to find a treatment and I consulted a lot of gyns and endocrinologists but I finally found an informed one! smile

I am not on the pill, I am on hrt.
