Need some advice

I've been suffering with panic attacks since 2014 for a couple of months last year they weren't bad, I hardly got them but in the space of 3 days I've had 4 and they have been so bad. I feel a tight feeling in my chest and my throat gets tight and I start to choke.

I have exams next week and I am struggling with a certain class at school my family keep saying this is probably why I am getting them. But recently it's been more about my health that I am worried about. I read an artical about a contraceptive pill which someone had passed away because of taking it and I freaked out because it's the same one as I am on. I've panicked all day and just a few minutes ago I coughed up blood and mucus which has terrified me. My mum just told me it's because I'm panicking but it feels like everything that is wrong with me is due to anxiety.

I have no idea what to do I'm sat shaking and scared.

Aimee, seems like you're freaking out, probably the exams..

First stop this pill to avoid any risks.. I tried Loestrin and had such bad effects like palpitations, I freaked out! Stopped it and went on micronor, very light, no side effects whatsoever..

Get this choking feeling with food, awful!

Buscopan really helps! An AE doctor advised it to me to relax the throat muscles..

I used to have loads of palpitations but doctors taught me how to check my pulse and it reassures me now even when I feel my heart pounding..

I still get horrible nausea and acid reflux.. Guess am anxious, motilium helps but even though I guess its just stress well I cant help reflux and feeling sick..

Its hard, I know your pain.. X

Thank you for replying ☺️

I've been thinking of going of the pill. I started it 2 years ago and noticed I gained weight and got heart palpitations as well.

I get that too after having food it always feels like a lump in my throat which makes me panic more

I'll give buscopan a go! I was speaking to someone about my anxiety and they said to get me throat checked out incase it isn't the anxiety giving me the tight feeling

Do you get back headaches? I've currently got a really bad one and nausea and acid reflux.

X

Hi Aimee

To much worry can cause anxieties because i worry a lot and yes it can causes me anxieties. What happen to one person on that drug may not happen to you but if you are so worried I would ask your doctor if you can stop the drug
