You'll just have to judge his sincerity for yourself. If he is willing to get tested, doesn't blame you, and demonstrates remorse, then that's a good start. You can prove whether you have a first-time infection or not by getting the IgG test done now. If negative, then your infection is very recent (no antibodies produced yet) and not something you've been carrying for months or longer.
Actually, keeping it "simple" down there is better. Too many products and douching could be irritating and potentially triggering. The food connection has not been clinically proven, so you don't actually need to change your diet provided it's balanced, unless you are convinced that a certain food is your trigger. Triggers are highly individual. I drink caffeinated tea by the bucket and still eat rice, nuts and chocolate without issue. Js
Thank you .. I appreciate your help.
Feeling better now? Right around when you posted this is when I had the worst symptoms. It didn't hurt to pee but I have one huge lesion that was painful AF and now I'm mostly healed up with a little bit of itching. the medication should've taken effect hopefully?
Oh I'm good now ... Everything gone for now ... Now I'm just praying next outbreak is not nearly as bad as that was..
However I do have hsv-2 so I'm going to have to learn how to cope with that. How do you break that to someone your going to potentially be with.
