Hi there, I am looking for some help - I have been experiencing a variety of symptoms in the past few months that seem to be getting worse quite quickly. My gp ordered blood tests for arthritis but all came back normal. I am due to see my gp next week but I thought I would post on here to see if anyone had a rough idea of what may be wrong with me. My symptoms are as follows - lower back pain, weakness and pain in hands, throbbing pain in left hip and left knee. No response to reflex test in both knees and ankles. Fatigue, pins and needles in Arms if staying relatively still ie sleeping, watching tv. Overall weekness, no energy at all, weight gain.
If anyone could help I would really be very grateful
Kind regards,
Danielle.
Could b a million things best let ur docs decide could b anything from anxiety to ms, fibromyalgia, me, ms like i say best person to help is gp! Good luck tho
Hi Danielle, Wow, sounds familiar. I agree with weenett...it could be so many things. There are so many things that have the same symptoms. I have auto immune issues, both kinds of arthritis, Sjogren's syndrom, Lupus, and now they think fibromyalgia...still testing on that one. And a few of these, if you have one, you most likely have the other. The auto immune thing is so complex, tricky, and takes so long to figure out. It can take years. Everything you said above and more, I feel daily. Some days I can hardly move. I do my best, I try to make myself walk, if you don't, it gets worse! I am on so many meds for it all, and of course, the side effects from those meds are not great! Mostly I take Prednesone. The one I need, I can no longer take, as it caused a problem with my eyes in the first 3 months, and once the damage is done, it can not be fixed. I was on Methotrexate for the arthritis, but it was causing too many problems, and had to go off of that, and it did not slow the progress, so now they are going to put me on another one soon. First, we have to fix the problem the last one caused with my kidneys. Now you see what I mean about the side effects...
Instead of seeing your GP, I would suggest you see a arthritis doctor, or what they call a Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) Specialist doctor. They are the ones that will run certain tests that other doctors won't run. That's who I go to, and they will work in combination with your regular doctors.
I sure do wish you a lot of Luck!!!! It can be a very rocky road to go down!! I don't wish it on anyone!! Don't let them brush you off!! You know your body, make them listen to you!
Hi Danielle, I'm no expert but have been on cita for a year started weaning a few weeks back, some of the identfired symptoms sound like me I would have seldom twitches, funny sensation in hip and fatique at first the main one was tremors my hands noticibly shook which anoyed me. How long you been on cita they could be side effects as the serontonin is increasing?
Just a wild guess. Sounds like a pinched nerve in your lower back. I had that once along with a slipped disc that pinched my nerves around my last 3 lower vertabres. Than it caused a slip and sever inflammation in my coccyk. I had an MRI done along with an x ray. I had the exact same symptoms as you are having now. I was also tested for gout. I was also extremely allergic to avocados. All of those things played a role. I eliminated some foods. Such as avocado and anything related to it. I went for physical therapy and that helped alot. I hope this helps? Good luck and I truly hope you feel better soon and find the answers you are seeking.
Sincerely
Omega
