Hi there, I suffer with anxiety and have done for over twenty years. Normally I've managed it really well but my symptoms have now changed to diarrhea when I get nervous or anxious. Other than living my life taking imodium, does anyone have any suggestions on how this can be managed?
- I would first suggest that you have a check up with your doctor for this., Just to make sure nothing else is going on. I have gotten the same thing occasionally over many years. The only thing that helps me is managing the anxiety and stress. I had to completely change my way of thinking from negative to more positive.
- I found the meditations for anxiety on YouTube to be very helpful and completely calming my mind and body.
- I went to regular counseling to help manage the anxiety in my life and it was very supportive. The counselor can give you ideas on what to do.
4.I also started eating healthier and stayed away from sugars, junk food. Started eating more fresh greens and stay hydrated. 5.Another thing is to keep busy and stay active in something. When you do things for others the focus is off of yourself and it’s been really helpful for me.
6.I also started exercising which has dramatically improved my mood and lowered my stress level.
these are just some suggestions you could try. But finding out the source of your anxiety is important so that you can work on that with a counselor.
so basically it’s been a complete life change for me. and yes I still can feel anxiety at times but now I have methods to deal with it better and take back control.
I get anxious poops as well even since getting my gallbladder out. I used to get nervous vomits when i was a kid. Doesnt matter what i do if i get anxious about a certain situation it always comes on, its the worst lol
