Nevro battery pack issues

Getting ready for a Nevro trial. My #1 concern is placement of the battery if the trial is successful. I have very tight buttock muscles and area above hip also has very tight QL and Psoas. This area does not like pressure. I am hoping the trial will demonstrate if this area will calm down so it could tolerate a battery pack. I plan on having discussion with the doctor about these concerns soon.

Hi nancy

i think you will find that the buttocks is not the only place they can impflant device , i know of people who have in around their stommock area, if you dont know, they only implant just under the skin for battery charging reasons, check with your surgeon for other implant sites in your body,

Thanks Colin! I did see a video where one was placed under his arm. First step will be my trial May 17th. I am thinking the trial may bring some relief so that my muscles relax and then maybe will not be so sensative. I like your idea and will discuss with my doctor. After the implant my plan is to have Stem Cells injected into my discs. That can take up to a year to get results so the Nevro would be a big help. My doctor also said the Nevro could help with other pain areas. Really cool how this has just come available.

Nancy43771,

Pls do I had the battery placed in my back area, well I ended up with so much pain with the battery in the back its sticking out so bad that it hurts, the stimulator has been off since October had in since September 3 months in bed and now I have to have battery replacement into my stomach, can't wear jeans it's a mess make sure you have the room and don't put it back there if you don't have any cushion for it take it from me. Talk to the dr make sure he doesn't want to place it in your stomach area. If it was up to me I would have it out.

Take care best of luck
