I was prescribed it (Pregalbin) for sciatica a couple of years go, but, my friend, a retired pharmacist advised me not to take it. It’s a Class C drug in the UK and apparently, highly addictive.
I was prescribed that drug as they thought I had nerve damage after my partial hip replacement. I didn’t have any side-effects, although I know many people do. Unfortunately it didn’t make any difference and I stopped taking it as it is addictive. My pain was more to do with tendinitis so it wouldn’t have helped anyway.
