Okay. This is a long story. I am a 22 year old female. It all started with a slightly swollen lymph node on the back of my head. This was in the very end of May. I went to my doctor to check it out because I had a little bit of anxiety over it. She didn't think it was much of a big deal and basically sent me on my way. I was back a week later and the lymph node didn't hurt anymore but I had this lump in throat feeling that wouldn't go away along with neck achiness. She thought it could possibly be from acid reflux or even anxiety. A few days later I called her cause I was having strange symptoms. Almost like fibromyalgia type pains. So she wanted me to get blood work done. I got a CBC and a bunch of other tests and she said my Lyme titer was high so she wanted me to see an infectious diseases doctor and she put me on doxycycline right away. I think I started having adverse reactions to the doxycycline because I was having awful head tension and migraines. I was on that for 2 weeks. In my second week of the medicine I saw the infectious disease doctor and she didn't think I had Lyme. She did some blood work anyways and said everything was normal and had explanation for my symptoms basically... at this point I had achey armpits also. I had 2 things of blood work done. I was tested for every sexual disease and every test was pretty much normal. So for a little while a lot of my symptoms had gone away and I was feeling pretty good except for the migraines which I believe were from the doxycycline. I never respond very well to meds. Once I finished the antibiotic my head pressure was going away. I went to go see my chiropractor to see if he would help because I am prone to migraines and I have a lot of neck issues and back issues. I am a recently retired D1 athlete so I'm used to pains. I actually felt that the adjustment helped but I had a deep tissue massage before it and after that, my neck achiness was back. The ache I'm referring to feels dull and muscular. I then realized I had a swollen lymph node towards the back of my jaw. Over the next few days it was giving me AWFUL pain and grew. And I noticed that I could feel some others in my neck. They're not very large but I can feel them. Maybe like one or two others. I checked my armpits for the nodes but no one can feel them. Even the infectious disease doctor couldn't feel anything. So I was feeling so hopeless. At this point which was a little over 2 weeks ago, I went to the ER. My anxiety was awful and I was crying worried cause I felt like no one could give me answers. I explained my pains and the doctor was VERY nice and patient. I explained the last few weeks and the aches that lead down to my collar bone to my shoulders. I also feel pains in my inner thighs and groin. He felt around and he said he could definitely feel the lymph node by the jaw. So he said he was a little concerned about lymphoma. So I had scans done of my neck and chest. He came back and said I have a couple of lymph nodes in my neck that are slightly swollen but not too big. And that my chest looked fine. They did blood work and he said that he suspects that I have a hypothyroidism. Apparently you can have swollen lymph nodes and a ton of other crazy symptoms from it? Now I do have endometriosis and get cysts on my ovaries often. My grandma has a hypothyroidism. So he said I should see a specialist. Unfortunately, I couldn't get in until August 3rd. So I have some days ahead of me. I still scared of lymphoma or something. I know that they say you don't know 100% until a biopsy is done. I would hope that he wouldn't just send me on my way if he weren't 100% sure. He seemed like a great doctor. I'm just so frustrated. All of my pains went away for 3 or 4 days and then a couple of days ago it all started up again. I'm hoping its hypothyroid or hashimotos to be honest. I'd rather it that then something else. I'm so sick of no one being able to give me answers.
Also, update on the node under the jaw, it's not giving me the same awful pain and seems to have shrunk a little. However, I still have the neck aches. Hopefully this endo I see is a good one and can help me out. Anyone ever have similar symptoms? I've had 5 or 6 different doctors visits since this has been going on.
