Haven't had a period in almost 4 months then yesterday i got it. no clots but super heavy like soaking a super tampon in 1 hour . anyone have this before?

This is perfectly normal, part of Peri menopause.
This can go on for a while, months of no periods then heavy periods lasting either a few days or two weeks.
For me HRT solved all this…
Sometimes I soak 2 an hour with or without clots. Dr says 2-3 days is normal but I hate it. This last time I had really bad cramps with it.. I take extra Iron when my periods are heavy and bloodwork seems to be ok.
yes!!! It’s horrible! Dr has suggested I get Mirena Coil fitted, but on reading reviews and hearing from other women who have had it fitted, I’m not convinced. It is very draining especially at work and my Iron levels are low too. I am 49 and my periods could come any time from 21 days to 141 days. I have used 4 sanitary pads at a time due to heavy bleeding, have used tampons this time to try and reduce ‘the flood’. I keep hoping it will cease soon…but no sign!
