Hi gang I'm new to this forum and hoping you may be able to offer some advice. I've recently had surgery for a detached retina, and the hospital consultant has signed me off work accordingly. A minor part of my job involves driving. Also, my place of work isn't easy to get to on public transport. Assuming I'm still unable to drive when the medical certificate from the consultant has expired, do I go to my GP for a further certificate, or back to the hospital?
Go to your GP.I am assuming you are in UK so remember you must also contact the DVLA about your detached retina.It could make your insurance void if you dont, especially as you drive for part of your employment.
