The first time I took this medication it left me so drowsy I couldn't get out of bed. Since then I have gained a full time job and can't afford to be that tired as I work with heavy machinery however I can't afford to take 5 days off of work. Does anyone know if I will experience the drowsiness every time or just the first time?
To be honest I felt terrible taking them. Despite feeling awful anyway, I would wake in a sweat, nightmares. I would be afraid to take them if I need suppressives.
I only really got super drowsy. Have you taken more than one course? Does it happen every time?
Most people don't have side effects, or only very minor ones. A lot of people are on acyclovir or valacyclovir, many daily. Sure it's just the first time or unrelated.
