Been three months now.
In the UK, so NHS. No xray or MRI to confirm. GP just gives me painkillers. Paid to see a chiropractor myself who think its a problem with C5-C6.
Improvement has been negligible to be honest. Its starting to affect my ability to work (Im self employed so no work = no pay - luckily its office based but I stil have to travel to my clients office)
Waiting list for anything on the NHS is long. So no MRI for near future.
One option is to pay privately for either a cortisteroid or nerve block injection?
So options are be patient and wit for chiro to work, pay for one of the inections, or wait months for NHS?
If I go for injection - which one? How long will it last/work for?
Without an exact xray/MRI before I go there how confident can I be they will inject the right spot? Or will the procedure help confirtm the problem anyway?
Bonjour Paulfoel
Mike.
Unfortunately, such is the NHS in the UK. GP wont refer until I've tried painkillers for a few months and it goes away on its own. (thats the guidelines).
Even if he agrees to refer me the waiting list is probably at least another 3 months on top.
No generally no tingling etc.
Just VERY occasionally.
