hello I have raised blood pressure and take ramipril to control it. do you think my doctor will prescribe orlistat? do you think it wil be safe to take?
desperate to lose some weigh to help reduce my blood pressure.
i have heart failure and take beta blockers and ace inhibitors, my GP was perfectly happy to prescribe orlistat as this was the safest with my meds. I have 9 stone to loose and started on orlistat yesterday. By my home scales I've already lost 1lb. I must say I was suprised by the support most people are getting from their GP as I haven't even been given a date for a follow-up or weigh in!! self help it is for me it is then, it seems :?

i took it upon myself to make appointments with my nurse every 9 days or so, as my doctor didn't wanna see me for 4 weeks and i couldn't handle the wait. I'm an impatient bugger. To weigh you only have to see the nurse :D

I'll do that. I never thought of doing that. I think the GP just wanted to get rid of me. I'm too complicated for some of them.
