Hi! I got my lenses like 2 months ago and my eye's still hurt when I put them in. I know that putting something foreign in your eye will feel uncomfortable but I only occasionally have these times when it really hurts when I put them in. This pain forces me to squint so I can't sleep in them or it will be too painful. I'm just wondering, why is this occurring and should I just suck it up and leave my contact in my eye while I sleep even when it is painful? I hope I don't sound like a cry-baby. I do spend my day mostly on screens so is this the problem? I also have dry eye syndrome which I am curing with eye drops.
What are the type of lenses you have?(brand name and type)

Are you putting the lubricating drops on the lenses before you insert them ?
All I know about the lenses is that they are Orthokeratology lenses.

You should have special lubricating drops that you put inside the “cup” of the lens just before you put the lenses on your eyes. These drops should have come with the lenses.
I only recall anesthetic eye drops. If my whole eye region is hurting/red, I put them in before contact lenses. Do you know what those eye drops are called?

If your whole eye region is hurting and red before you put the lens in,then something is wrong. You need to get your eye/s white and healthy before putting in any sort of lens. You should have been given a lubricating solution to go with the lenses. If not then Hyloforte is a very good one to use. When you have the lens on your fingertip to put in your eye,put 2 drops in the “cup” of the lens and keep your head facing downwards as you put the lens in.
But please give your eyes a break from the lenses until they have lost the redness and pain. You need to treat that dry eye syndrome quite intensively. Working on screens a lot is the absolute enemy of dry eyes. Try to give yourself a break every hour and remember to blink. Lots of lubrication too. You can use Hyloforte as a general eye lubricant.
Ok. I will gladly accept your advice! Thanks. I will take often breaks, but I can’t seem to find the eye drops your talking about that came with the lenses but I got some lubricating eye drops called Hylo-Fresh. I put them in three times a day. Can that be a substitute to hyloforte?
