Ovarian cyst pain or something more sinister?

Ok so I am 20 years old its been about 3 months that i am suffering with my periods. I had stressed put big time in august which made me believed it prolonged my period (aug5-26). So i thought. Then my period was running days late which made me take a pregnancy test which said negative this was my 5th one since drs made me take one when i mentioned about my period. Anyways it came 5 days late then ended 5 days later but i had severe left side pain so severe i could not point what it was all i knew it felt like there was some pressure pushing on me and i constantly was needing to urinate. So i go to the dr she takes a uti test and its negative but she refers me to an obgyn for an abdominal and pelvic us. It was a month away which sucked so i went to the hospital in hopes of getti g an answer of what was causing the pain. I get a transvaginal us and a ct scan and all it showed was a 2 cm cyst. On the opposite side where my pain was. So he tells me to keep an eye on the cyst and it shpuld go away on its own but to keep an eye regardless. So then i get my period again on the 1st after a pap smear since i was convinced i had cervical cancer because it for some reason i thought the ovaries were the cervix pap smear came out normal. But i bled a day after the pap. I thought it was a period because it lasted 6 days and i had a bit of pain but the procedure itself wasnt painful to me just uncomfortable. I go to the same gbyn who refused to do the pap on me because she was sure it wasnt the cervix and she was right but why the bleeding. It was a bit too early for a period. So she said maybe it was my birth control i use nexplanon. She said we can try switching it but i didnt want to miss days of work and at the time i had a fiancee. And i wasnt too sure of shots every 3 months especially cuz the office is far from where i live and i hate needles so i decided to stay with the nexplanon but reduce my stress because it was the first reason why i even went to the drs this how everything started. I had a dumb cough for 6 months. I had stopped smoking for 1 month and ir wasnt gone so it made me want to go to the dr. And my sis joking said what if its cancer and eversince i felt like it was cancer. I been 3 months not smoking the cough was gone but the bleeding began. I would prefer an annoying cough any day over painful bleeding. Anyways then my period comes again on the 12 freaked out. I began to worry more and more. I get my us the cyst is still there still the same size she was more concerned of a slight fatty liver then the cyst because it was a follicular cyst the most common like women i been having periods why has it not gone away. I am still having occasional side pains near where my ovaries are but not exactly where they are located but near so makes me think its my ovaries. My ogbyn does not take me serious she says everything is stress. And said once i get the nexplanon removed my period will take a while to regulate itself but then guess what the 26th i got my period once again. 3 times in one month that seems so abnormal to me nothing normal. It only lqsted 2 days but its been so painful.i been having pain on my upper left and right abdomen and my lower. I went to get an mrcp last thrusday wont get the results till the 6th. Us shows nothing but 2 cm cyst so did last months ct scan. Im in so much pain. Had an xray of my kidneys to make sure it wasnt them since i heard they can cause painful bleeding in the urine as well and nope showed nothing. Chest xray showed nothing blood work looks good even better than last time since i went on a low fat diet. I can still pass stools. I am not bloated. I do get some back pain but thats been eversince i got the epidural when i gave birth. Could it be trapped gas? Or could it be my worst fear ovarian cancer? My grandma died of breast cancer last year she was 74 or 75. And i heard that theres a link between those2 cancers im soo afraid. Any one knows what this is and if you were ever diagnosed with ovarian cancer what were your symptoms i so afraidsad

Hi erika90744

If you are worried about ovarian cancer ask your doc for a CA125 blood test..this will give an indication if there is a liklihood of cancer of the ovaries...best wishes.....

If a cyst was found on your ovary and nothing else, your pain may be due to the cyst.  Birth control can cause bleeding, so come off the birth control you are taking and do not take any other forms of contraception. It is not good for your hormonal balance.  You sound very anxious and you are stressing about all the worst case scenarios before you have definite answers which may be far simpler and far less threatening than you think.  I would see a different doctor.  Stress can also cause physical pain and can disrupt your periods causing them to be late, early or not come at all.
