Hi guys,
I had a 14cm dermoid cyst removed via open surgery in October. After the surgery I still felt pressure like I had a cyst still. I had ultrasound and internal scan and found out I had a cyst on each ovary but only blood filled cysts and they should pass with my cycle. Anyhow I went back on Thursday to have another scan to make sure all was ok as a follow up and had another ultrasound and internal. I still have blood filled cysts but they are passing through and then gettin new ones.
Since the internal scan I have felt discomfort and a real ache on both ovaries but in particular the right one (where I had the big dermoid cyst removed from) just wondering if this is normal as it didn't feel like this last time I had the scans.
I have unfortunately had 4 internal scans over the years and suffered terribly for about a week after each. I felt internal pressure and nausea and constant need to urinate. Literally disappeared after around a week. I hope you feel better soon. If it's unbearable or lasts more than a week I would see gp x
Thanks for your reply.
I just found it strange as it didn't happen last time after my surgery.
The sonographer did say it looked sore as she was moving round to the right ovary with the internal but she didn't hurt me was just after it hurt.
Just wish these blood filled cysts would go now cuz it's making me worry that I have another dermoid growing as feels that same pushing pressure feeling 😕
Maybe already inflamed which would cause more pain than usual? No medical expert but my guess would be that. Obviously if it gets worse get seen before the week is up don't just wait and see!
Thanks for your reply Hun. Yes could be right. Will definitely get it checked if no better x
