Just been on holiday for the first time siñce my thr in March, things were going really great walking nearly daily ! And no issues then 2 dasys before back home decided to get clever and prove I could nearly run !!!! I'm now aching in the inner thigh, funny twinges stiffness after sitting and generally feel like I've gone backwards, I could cry !! Back taking ibuprofen hope it will get better before seeking medical help , been like this now 4 days, can anyone relate to this ????
Yes, I can relate to that! I overdid the peapicking at the weekend and on Monday I could hardly put my foot on the ground. It got a bit better during the week, but after I got out of the car after my 7 week consultant appointment, back came the pain.
I've just taken advice from my physio and have to give up exercising until it feels better. And I've an appointment to see him next week.
Could you give your physio department a ring?
By the way, when I explained to the consultant what I'd done he recommended carrying on with the exercises as normal. Mmmm?!
Hope you improve soon. I'm sure you will.
All the best, Anna x
Thanks Anna I'm in a dilemma whether to rest or exercise ! Think I'll give few days and see how it goes !! X
Hi Alison,I am exactly the same. I suffer from tension and to be honest fear I have over done things at times. People bang on about excerise! But I am going to start have regular jacuzzis and reflexology! I am not sleeping well! So its awkward. Sorry to moan. My op was the 2nd of march in the Nuffield Woking! Regards Amanda
Hi Alison
I'm 8 months down the line and got quite cocky myself a few times, leaving me like yourself in agony!!😁 only thing I can say is to rest it until the pain subsides and when you feel up to it start back with the exercises, about 3 weeks ago I did a 8 mile bike trundle I say trundle as I don't go very fast and bare in mind I was 7 months post op it killed me for about 6 days after, then I thought better do something so swam in our local pool and it eased again, listen to you body and if your hurting don't agrivate it with more exercise, I'm finding that even now 8 months on I know when I've done to much. I would say it's quite normal to ache if you've exerted yourself, think about pre op you exercise at the gym you've not been for a while, the following day you ache it's only the same take care and think before showing off lol😃😃😀 speaking from experience 😀😀😀
No seriously Alison I feel your pain take care
Regards from somebody 8 months down the line
