Everything going ok .but last couple of nights have been woken by a horrible nervy pain running from top of inner thigh into my groin area....it's like an electric shock..and makes me Yelp out ..much to my husband's distress....
Im taking my meds as I should and have very little pain through the day ...any ideas hippies ..🤔
THR has it ups and down thru the heeling that's for sure. In time the pain will,change and become dull and as you progress into hippy mobile land your life will get back to a better place,
for or now do all the exercises and walking glute squeezes help stabalize the core muscles and once your done with physio you will be headed for Disney World.
This is is major surgery and it takes all the pain and gains of progression of heeling over time.
Try ray to take one day at a time.
One thing Imdid was become over confident When I felt so good and would over do then back in bed for a day or two.m
stay well and many blessing to a good recovery.
With all the nerve damage sudden pain is not nice..... but I think you should speak to the Dr.. if it is making you yelp....
It is a rollercoaster ride gettng through this procedure and we are not given enough information and without this site I would definately have lost my marbles..

I had the same pain in the groin about 10-12 days after THR and just resting alot did it and it finally went away, it all takes time and we seem to ge other aches and pains after hip replacement. Hope you are doing better take care

That would be a real blast, they may comit us all to the funny farm but we would have our canes for safety. This website has helped me so much and I thank all of you for listening. Somedays just venting helps, It's almost Xmas here and I just cannot believe it. Unfortunatley my Mom became gravely ill and is in hospital and she can no longer walk. With the mds her confusion is ureal. We are monitoring her closley I know she is 88 but I have taken care of her full time for 2 years tht she has lived with me. She is a real fighter, but all you hippies out there ay some pryers for her, she was there for me when I was so sick after my THR and now I want to be there for her but I feel so helpless. They say she may nevr walk again, and if they operate she would not survive the surgery. Her right hip is bone on bone and needs a THR. With her spinal stenosis she could not survive It is day to day now but she is so ill, I am going to see her this am andpray that she recognizes me,.I almost cried the other day when she did not know sho I was. Say some prayers or good wishes.
I am doing the best I can in my recovery my knee kind of settled down after the 2 cortizone injuections thank God for that. So everyone take care and thanks so much for listening and letting me vent as I feel so alone in all of this

Hi, I've been dealing with something similar but in my unoperated leg. It occurs mainly during the night and I've come to the conclusion it's the iliopsoas tendon tightening up over night. I'm resting and doing some gentle stretching. Look it up and see if it sounds like what you're experiencing. Lisa x

Hi Madia, yes the unoperated leg had to take the strain of me limping about for at least 9 months and has been complaining about it since June. Whatever next !?? At least my operated hip/leg is doing well as I can now sleep on that side and it's only a little sore. Can nearly touch my feet too and hope to start driving again sometime next week. I'm week 9 post LTHR. Lisa xx

Vou falar com meu cirurgião na quinta-feira e descobrir por que temos dor na virilha. Meu fisioterapeuta também começou no mesmo dia. Escrevi isso no tablet e às vezes as letras ficam estranhas. Por enquanto, a quiropraxia está indo bem, tenho certeza de que não é nada sério. Tudo leva tempo e cada um tem uma dor diferente.
