J'ai 3 ulcères chroniques de la jambe et on m'a prescrit du gabapentine 600 mg 3 fois par jour, mais la douleur est toujours présente ! Quelle médication contre la douleur devrais-je me voir prescrire pour la douleur constante qu'elle me cause ?
Yup, they are pretty much prescribing this drug for every kind of ailment now. From depression, insomnia, carpal tunnel syndrome, nerve pain, migraines, etc., etc., Dishing it out like candy. Look on this board and see how many different issues they are prescribing this for. Ask yourself - Why.
Mon médecin traitant m'a informé vendredi qu'il s'agissait d'un nouveau monde en ce qui concerne les médicaments contre la douleur. Pas étonnant. J'ai été tellement réduit ! La douleur n'est plus contrôlée ! La gabapentine n'a pas seulement aggravé ma douleur, mais les effets secondaires m'ont rendu encore plus malade. Pas étonnant ! 20 fois à l'hôpital au cours de l'année et demie dernière. La plupart ont commencé en réanimation ! Comme je me retire de ce médicament non addictif, je ne cours pas aux urgences chaque mois ! Ces CNS sont dangereux et tuent des gens. Ils doivent examiner ces statistiques ! Désolé pour votre douleur et si vous avez un nouveau problème, bonne chance pour trouver un médecin prêt à vous aider. Juste une suggestion. Comme vous prenez de la gabapentine, faites en sorte que votre médecin surveille vos analyses. Les miennes sont passées de bonnes à une maladie auto-immune en un an. Addison ! Oui ! J'ai épuisé mes glandes surrénales ! Soyez prudent avec la gabapentine et informez-vous vraiment sur ce médicament !
Hi there , I've had chronic leg ulcers for the past 10 years , the only thing that's kept me sane is the 360mgs MST every 12hrs and 80 mil of Oramorph each day , I'm also prescribed Gabapentin to help me sleep plus I'm prescribed Mitazapine . All in enough Meds to comatose most but as your body gets used to the Meds the pain is always there .
I'm taking Gabapentin, 300 mg. 3X a day. I feel my heart racing, similar to an anxiety episode. Also feel very disoriented at times. I'm taking it to block nerve pain that causes severe headaches (from cervical spine fussion. I'm really concerned after reading about the withdrawal horrors. I stopped taking it for months and didn't experience any of those effects. Now that I have read about people's withdrawal experiences I'm afraid the power of suggestion will cause me to have these terrible symptoms. I'm planning to stop taking gab because it's just not doing what it was intended to. I guess I'll try tapering if I start experiencing those symptoms. Has anyone stopped gab and not had such a terrible reaction?
En fait, j'ai arrêté une fois puis comme un idiot j'ai recommencé. C'était avant de savoir que tous mes problèmes venaient du gabapentin et de ne rien savoir sur ce médicament. Je ne me sentais pas pire que je ne l'étais déjà. Ce qui était déjà assez mauvais ! Cette fois, après avoir lu à ce sujet... c'est GRAVE ! Je pense que le pouvoir de suggestion plus la connaissance de ce que c'est a empiré les choses. Pourtant, je suis content de savoir à quoi m'en tenir et la raison. Je ne cours pas aux urgences tous les jours !
I just did a search for gab withdrawal symptoms. WOW! This drug should be taken off the market! It's horrible! I didn't read one positive statement about it. I'm getting off this poison. Thanks for your reply Rener!

this is a very painful condition, interferes with sleep. I can’t get in a position where nothing is touching the damn ulcer. dressing it didn’t help at ALL, made it worse.
I’m so frustrated, this is pretty low on my ailments list but high on the life interference scale.
any suggestions appreciated.
