Pain/tingling in hands and feet is it menopause

started getting changes to sensation in hands a fortnight ago plus tingling doctors thinks nerve inflammation. having blood tests for diabetes and vitamin deficiency. yesterday evening started in my left foot, after work (on my feet all day), both feet really painful. very anxious as it seems to be getting worse

hi ,
this usually happens to me before period at the moment am fighting anxiety. Try not to panic take it one step at a time and breathe.

Keep us updated… I thought for sure I had diabetes due to how my feet felt-- I don’t which I’m happy about BUT have a feeling hormones are the cause for this.

I’m post almost 2 years now, but had the same thing. My feet still hurt so much that it’s painful to wear anything but flat/comfortable shoes, or I get shin splints. l know it’s all to do with menopause. I used to jump out of bed with leg cramps in peri. It’s good that you’re having it checked. I take a good prenatal vitamin, DHEA, vitamin C and a vitamin B complex, as well as fish oil. I had low D3 and iron levels with peri also. Hang in there! Aging sure can suck, especially for us women!

thanks i am post menopause but my hot flushes have been going mad so i guess a hormonal connection is possible

thanks for replying i have to wait ,4 weeks for a blood test for diabetes or vitamin deficiency. think i will try to go to a drop in blood clinic at my local hospital

thanks, i have had problems with shin splints too. its just yet another symptom on top of all the crap/pain that i am already dealing with. if a doctors asks ‘what are your symptoms’, i could be talking for a fortnight!

Its Meno symptom dear

having told its trapped nerve or nerve inflammation. now apparently i have vitamin b12 deficiency despite taking 1000ug twice a day. pain in lower legs too, but ‘nothing sinister’. cant have a blood test till i get a print out from doctors at 8.30 monday morning. then onto hospital, miraculously managing to get to work by 10, as my manager has suggested!
