Painless rash/blisters - what does this look like?

On Saturday I noticed some itching in my pubic area, specifically near my panty line. I ignored it and later that day while taking a shower, I noticed a rash with some white blisters shown below.
I immediately freaked out and looked up pictures of STDs and the closest one I could find was herpes. I used some antibiotic ointment and hydrocortisone cream and left the area undisturbed. That night I took a warm bath and applied the ointments and cream again then went to sleep.

The breezy morning, the white patches/blisters were completely gone and my skin was just red and irritated. Here’s a picture.

Today, the area is fine just a bit pink. I do have some super tiny pimples near my butt but they don’t look anything like the rash I had on Saturday. That is now going away too though.

I have an appointment tomorrow to get tested but I’m really freaking out. I’ve only been with one guy and we used protection. This was about 4 months ago and I haven’t been with anyone else since then. My gut is telling me it’s herpes, but why didn’t I show symptoms earlier? I also don’t have any pains, fever, headache, etc. Just a little soreness and occasional itchiness. Of course I won’t really know until I get tested, but any insight would be helpful until then. I also wanted to add that I do have some vaginal discharge that is thick and white. I considered maybe I have a yeast infection but I don’t know.

could be a bacterial vaginosis

I’m hoping it’s that or something else that’ll go away, but the white patches have me worried. Although they went away so quickly and my skin is almost healed in those spots. So frustrating :frowning:

did you use any new soaps or creams?
looks like a reactions. or a bad fungal infection!

Yeah I started using a new feminine hygiene spray and I noticed that it was stinging a little lately. I ignored it though but I’ve stopped using it altogether. Maybe that irritated me.

I’m on my way to the clinic now - wish me luck :confused:

Thanks to you both and I appreciate all of the feedback and support! I didn’t get tested because the rash is mostly gone but I got an exam and the doctor assured me that I don’t have herpes. She said I had some bad irritation from the sprays I was using and also a yeast infection. I have my meds and I’m super relieved

My guess is if it went away after using the ointments & cream its not herpes. But id still go get tested. To me as if it were a yeast infection or some kind of rash caused by bacteria or a germ. Best wishes to you!

hi i think im experiencing the same thing. all of a sudden i have a blisters around my groin area near panty line. i dont think its herpes because im not sexually active and when im having a contact with my partner its very like once or twice a month with condom on. may i know what was the result of your test?

could it be from laundry detergent used on panties?
