I been diagnosed with my doctor with GAD and panic attack’s. She asked if I ever been on any medicine like Paxil before and I told her I been on Zoloft and Prozac well I didn’t like how it made me feel well she said Paxil is a miracle medicine to her she said she’s not a big fan of Xanax and it’s cousins so she gave me Paxil and said to take half of a 10mg pill everyday for a week then bump it up. N to take it bout 3 hours before I go to bed....well I been taking it and I don’t like how it makes me feel I feel nauseous all the time I can’t sleep and it makes me have crazy dreams when I do sleep and it makes me start thinking bout when my mom passed away and how life would b if she was still here to this day. I don’t like feeling like this but what do I do. It’s been bout 3 weeks since I been taking this...if the other ssri medicine made me feel weird why wouldn’t this one? What should I do?
Paxil is very similar to what you were taking before. I don’t know if I would consider it a miracle drug. LoL. But it’s widely prescribed. Anyway, the side effects should subside between 4-8 weeks. Your almost there. So hang in there. Also remember that you increased your dose mid way, thus the side effects may linger a bit. Stay strong.

If you want I can share my personal experience with this ' terrible ' drug which is hard to get off and withdrawal symptoms nearly killed me
I took it 10mg for 4 months and increased it twice to 20mg but the increased dose made me suicidal and then 10mg wasn't working like before so I got off
Its a good drug for anxiety and depression it took away my anxiety in 2 weeks I was back to normal but side effects were enough to deal with and after 4 months it stopped working for me so I got off
Believe me getting off after a month Still.dealing with withdrawal symptoms which are wrost I don't like it personally
It makes you a zombie after you get off it

I would speak to the dr with a view to discontinue this drug as they are terrible to wean off their effectiveness is highly questionable.
