Hey guys I need help. So a year and 3 months ago I slept with a female friend of mine. Long story short towards the end I noticed she was drying up so we stopped. Later that night I noticed a shiny red mark on my penis head and the top part of the rim. Figured it was just some friction burn. I ended up tearing the skin pretty bad, it ended up like scaling over, which rubbed off against my boxers one day. Underneath was super shiny red skin, so I knew I tore the skin worse than I thought. Well, along the healing process I think something has happened. Part of my skin is a little pinkish/brown which is from the scarring and will prolly never go away but will fade a little over time which is ok with me. Now though my skin is always insanely dry/cracked/red/shiny. It freaks me out, especially when I get an erection it gets so inflamed it's scary looking. I'll post pics down below. I did all my std testing everything came back ok. Went to the dermatologist and he suggested it could be a yeast infection so he gave me cream and some pills. Neither helped or made it worse. Another dermatologist told me it could post inflammatory hyperpigmentation which could last forever or take years to heal. He could be correct but I just feel like it's something else or a combination of the two. Instead of it being external like on the surface I feel as if its internal . When I'm not erect it's fine just little discoloration like said earlier. When I'm erect it's a whole different ball game. If you have questions shoot. If your also dealing with something like this let me know. Like I said I've had it for a year now so that's why I'm freaking out. By the way there's never any pain, but there is discomfort sometimes when I'm working and I start to sweat and my body heat is warm it kinda gets a little irritated and I'm always re-positioning it. Like it's itchy, but not it itchy enough to actually scratch it. Please help!!

Your situation sounds very similar to me.
Mine occurred after some kind of reaction/irritant contact dermatitis to a condom.
I've had this redness for nearly a year now after it happened.
The degree of redness changes all the time; sometimes it looks completely normal, other times it flares up quite badly. I get noticeable discomfort in the tip when I initially become erect.
Your dermatologist's theory of post inflammatory hyper-pigmentation sounds very plausible, could be why mine has never gone back to normal.
How's your problem now?
