First time SSRI user here.
On Day 4 I had some sex drive, got an erection fairly easily, but couldn't orgasm while masturbating. By Day 5 my penis was an unresponsive limp noodle. Sex drive is gone too. It's now Day 8 and nothing has changed.
Has anyone else experienced sexual dysfunction that came on this quickly and at such a low does? Is there a chance it's just a reaction to the drug hitting my body and will correct itself somewhat in time. Or should I cut my losses on Zoloft early, and look for other options? Will all SSRI's probably have this effect on me, or was it just a reaction specific to Zoloft?
I don't know about anyone else, but I would love nothing more than to talk about your penis and orgasms. Prior to Zoloft how many times a day did you whack it? 5? 6?
Seriously dude. Learn some tact. No one gives a flying phuck about your masturbating prowess. Go see your frickin doctor.
I give a flying phuck. The main reason i ever stopped sertraline in the first place was because of the sexual side effects. You need to trade sexual function for mental health.

Unfortunately low or zero sex drive is one of the bad side effects of setraline and from my 10 months on 100mg it doesn't get any better . On the bright side it does help with depression low mood anxiety panic attacks etc so it's a small price to suffer while we recover from this horrid horrid horrid illness that we are all on here suffer . Patience is the key to recovery so we can all live a normal life without the meds.
