penis rash a little sometimes itchy, a little numb, thin skin

Hello I have had penis skin damage in the area of this rash 2 years ago. The damaged area was smaller then the rash I have today. When moist it looks normal you can't see it. When I dry the skin it becomes visible. This penis rash for quite some time a year I think, hard to say as apart from being itchy sometimes it is mostly asymptomatic. What is it?

Julius, you need to think about everything that comes into contact with the skin on the head and foreskin of your penis?
So, for example, soap? - shower gel? - other forms of body wash? - when you get a shower do you wash your hair at the same time and some of the shampoo drains to your groin and penile region? Everything like this that happens without you paying that much attention to what the impact of it may be you need to now pay close attention to.
Lots of men use all kinds of things for a lube for masturbation / and/or sex, from saliva, skin cream or lotion or moisturiser, baby oil, actually sex lubes - and so on.
What you need to have is a mental list of everything that comes into contact with the head and foreskin of your penis. So if you are regularly sexually active and use condoms, add these to your list.
The skin of the head of the penis is perhaps the most sensitive skin on the human body, it can easily become damaged or overwhelmed by what it is in contact with. The number one enemy of healthy penile skin is soap and this often combines with other forms of body wash to create a very unhealthy skin.
What often occurs is that the skin first becomes overwhelmed and it is no longer able to repair itself as skin elsewhere on the body would be able to. When this occurs, almost anything that is in contact with damaged penile skin will make the situation worse.
And the answer? Remove the contact with everything that is not essential for the health of your penile skin, and what this amounts to is that the only thing that is safe to contact damaged penile skin is WATER - other than this, EVERYTHING else has to be excluded.
Be warned, recovery of damaged penile skin can take a great deal of time, and I am talking about about a bare minimum of 5, 6, 7 or even more months.
