Peri menopause

Hi ladies can you help.

I had hormonal checks a few years ago and my GP said my levels were slightly raised. Over the last 6 months I have been feeling very tired and my periods can be as close as 18 days apart or can be as far as 35,days - is this ok. My last one was 18 day and lasted 3 days only but day 3 was a complete flood on one occasion with two biggest clots (gross I know).  Could this be all peri menopausal- night sweats are here as well.

Look forward to any replies xx

Good Morning Ellis,

This sounds like a very normal part of peri. Your periods will be like a rollercoaster ride, they will be very unpredictable. I went through peri really bad for about 5-6 years until my periods started coming only 3-4 months. Usually much lighter then the very heavy bleeding/clotting I used to get. Fatigue, anxiety, aches and pretty much everything all these ladies go through.  I’m still in peri since my last period was this past New Years. I’ve gained a lot of weight over the past 6 months which I do think is part of the hormonal changes.  I don’t think you have anything to worry about sweetheart, but always talk to your doctor if you are concerned. Have a great day!!!

Hi thanks for your reply.

Sometimes I just feel uneasy as I’ve never been ill but having all the strange feelings etc hitting me at once I just feel knocked over some days.

Xx

Yep! Sounds totally normal to me...I could've written your post. Keep track and tell your doc everything.

You are fine...it's all peri meno shenanigans!! Hugs!
