CBD feels funny and causes dizziness. MELOTONIN & VALERIAN ROOT nothing… snyone have sny feedback reharding peri-menopause sleep clinics?
i’ve had these internal vibrations now over three years. yall describe it perfectly, and mine is all day everyday. sometimes its irritating and sometimes its soothing when im dead tired it feeling like a medicated numbing feeling… i tried to research over the years but really couldn’t find anything about it. I’m glad I ran across this discussion forum because it puts too rest that this may not be a serious issue and just menopause. some suggested a progesterone cream. how do u know how much u need and what do i need to know about it, also where to buy it? thanks for listening.
Hi ladies
Wondering if anyone is still active in this discussion? I googled internal jitters, Menopause and this appeared. Very interesting reading and I’m there with you all. We get such little support through this major change in our lives, don’t we
!
I’m from the UK, 48 and been going through Peri/Menopause for around 5 years. Symptoms come and go and I’ve been for various tests over the years, all ok. Went to see a Meno specialist in March privately and she gave me an HRT Estradot patch, but not put it on yet, through fear of risks. Last 2 weeks, terrible fatigue, no sleep, sweating, aches, jitters, chest pain! I’m putting it on today, had enough. Has anyone had benefit from HRT patch?
hi julie I was on peri for 4 yrs from 2011 then went into menopause in 2015 , iv been going through most of the horrendous symptoms but the internal shakes / jitters are back which upset my stomach and make me feel sick and anxious. unfortunately i cant take HRT so no help for me . im from the UK too . im 57
hope the patch works for you , keep us posted x
Hi Julie,
I just completed month 2 on the lowest dose of estradiol patch i could get. (Also low dose oral progesterone).
I have had more good days in the past 2 months than in the previous year. I still have bad days when stress is high, but overall, it has made me functional again, instead of being constantly anxious, insomniac and in pain and trembly for no reason.
I was in bad shape, worried for my job and marriage, so I had to try something. I am so glad I did.
If it doesn’t provide relief, at least you know to try the next thing instead of being stuck in a what-if loop like I was.
Good luck to you!!
Sara
Julie, I meant to say… I am 49, been in peri for about 6 years.
Hi Sara
Thank you so much for your reply, we sound like we are going through the same thing. I read the guidance leaflet and still haven’t put on my patch! Bit scared of the risks, but, I am so fed up of feeling unwell. My job makes it harder, I am a fitness and Pilates instructor. After reading your comment, I feel encouraged to try it.
Thank you x
Hi
I sympathise 100%, isn’t it just awful! Have you looked into possible alternatives? I know someone who couldn’t take HRT, due to having breast cancer, but sought help from a private specialist and now uses a low dose HRT pessary. May be an option for you.
I hope you can find something which helps. x
It definitely feels like Parkinson’s! Anybody else here really dizzy/lightheaded along with it? And do you get head jerks and body jerks along with it sometimes too?
I notice my involuntary head jerks exacerbate particularly when lying down. My fine motor skills are being affected too. Are you ladies the same?
Watching a youtube video on PPPD/MDDS the other day and the woman researcher said that the internal tremors/vibrations/rocking/swaying motion may be related to estrogen levels sharply dropping (and spiking etc).
Wisconsin - you are truly amazing - with what you have achieved, and are a truly inspirational human being. Thank you for sharing your story and what worked for you and I wish you continued good health. And to the rest of the ladies here too, - I wish you strength and a cessation of these vibrations and other awful hormonal side-effects that you’re/ we’re all going through. I hope you find the ‘cure’ and that you all feel better soon.
it’s so good to have a forum where we can all help and support eachother ![]()
Omg Astroaurora! My heater was doing that too!!! I also got much worse after the general anesthetic given to me during my 2 knee surgeries recently! I think that the toxins affect our HPA axis (our hormones & nervous systems) and of course our adrenals and brains too!
I also saw a clairvoyant and she told me that mine is neurological & that blood is not getting to certain parts of my brain. I had a doppler scan done and it has showed that some of this is actually happening.
i hope this message finds you.
I have had all kinds of crazy symptoms.
I am 43 and have 3 kids. I still have periods regularly. though they are much heavier.
I have internal shaking. A lot.
It drives me batty. I have had mri, hormones tested, seen a neurologist, and nothing comes up. I have had all blood work completed. I was slightly anemic. I get cold hands. crawling sensations in legs, muscle twitching, and shakes.
wth! any help would be great.
Sarah3456,
I’m sorry to hear that you are struggling with these symptoms. I understand how scary it can be because it was the hardest struggle of my life. But experiencing it and working through it ultimately led me to freedom from a life long battle with fear/anxiety. I’m sure I posted about it years ago, please search my name for my story. ( I haven’t followed this page in years. I only came back because of your message notification.)
Just know you’re going to be okay. I felt like I was the worst case but if I got better so can you! Find hope in my story. It was a journey for me that was difficult, VERY difficult, but now I look back at it as a blessing. Honestly.
(I no longer experience this symptom and am still doing great years later.)
Be hopeful.
Thank you for your encouragement and kind words. I have not followed this page in years and only came back today because I recieved a message notification.
Here is an update for anyone who has read my old posts about my symptoms, dr visits, tests, and of course crippling fear not knowing what was happening to me. I’m still doing great years later! My success was not a temporary fix it was a life-changing journey. I can honestly say I am thankful for going through it because it changed me for the better. I hope you all find hope in my story. If I overcame it - you can too.
where is your story? would love to read it
I’m not very familiar with this page. I followed it a few yrs ago when I was searching for answers. Ive only come back a couple times to reply.
I assume you can search my name but I have not looked.
Hi Sindy
All of us here are SO glad that your symptoms went away
And we hope that the internal vibrations never ever came back too?!
A few ladies wrote to you to ask what type/brand name of Progesterone you were taking - but there was no response. Could you please tell us? We’re really desperate.
I hope you see this message.
Kind regards

I signed up just to reply to this forum. Any other women experience these after giving birth?! Or am I just the lucky one person who has? It’s taken about 4-5 months for them to almost completely go away (after my period has returned) but I wanted to see if any first time mom’s had this reaction to hormonal change? I went to several doctors, had MRIs and was convinced I had a neurological disease. They were worst at night falling asleep and anxiety and stress often made them worse as well.
I don’t know about Sindy but I use Utrogestan gels, you can either use them through the oral or vaginal route. I got them from my gynaecologist who is specialized in menopausal issues.
