Peroneal Tendon surgery - 6 month post surgery

Hi All,

I was diagnosed with a peroneal tendon surgery and had 2 failed attempts at PRP injections. I then had peroneal tendon surgery in NYC and made a pretty quick recovery. The DR said my tendon was frayed and had tears.
On day 10 i was instructed to place weight on the ankle and it all went quickly uphill from there. At 12 weeks i was told to start running again.

Fast forward, I’m 6 months out and can cycle, run for 30 mins and train pretty normally, but I still get ankle pain after longer sessions.

Is this just muscular endurance? or a persistent problem?
Did anyone else going through this still have pain when they were at a similar stage?

Thanks
