Please help! My boyfriend and I have been together for 4 years, and I have HSV-2 (genital herpes) and he doesn’t. We have managed to keep him from getting it because we are very careful. Well I hadn’t had an outbreak in a while so I forgot what they feel like at first. The past couple days I’ve had slight itching and tingling, and today my and my boyfriend had unprotected sex (which is common for us) and an hour later I realized I was having an outbreak! I am feeling so guilty and terrified that I have now passed it on to him. What’s even worse is he didn’t wash his hands after we had sex and he’s been rubbing his eyes and stuff. I told him but he isn’t taking me seriously at all. Do you think he will for sure have it passed on to him because of this?? I’m more worried about it getting in his eyes since he didn’t wash his hands! Help!
Hey youve posted this a couple times ive noticed. if youre that scared please go to a doctor with him and they can help you with that anxiety and figure out next steps for him
how do you manage to have hsv 2 and have unprotected sex and not pass it to him ? what preventative measures do you take? im asking for myself because i was recently diagnosed with it. It is possible he could have infected his eyes even tho im not exactly sure how common that is since hsv 2 is normally genital.
