So 4 days ago (TUES) I started getting this itchy feeling around my butt hole and I thought it was from shaving and using a blue fragrance soap because usually sometimes when i shave i get bumps down there. This time though they looked blistery and like genital herpes… They kind of hurt when i stretch my skin out but they don’t sting when I pee or when pee gets on them. I have no flu like symptoms or anything. They don’t itch anymore they just feel sore. However, the last time i had sex was this passed (SAT). I shaved that day and noticed that I was shaving rougher than usual. Ive been with the same guy since last year and never had an issue like this. We use protection on and off and We haven’t slept with anyone else but each other. Before I make an appointment to get checked out I would like some opinions.

could be herpes or folliculitous which is basically a rash u get from a razor filled with bacteria .. if i where u id go get them tested just for peace of mind

it looks like folliculitis, however, mine also started like that and it broke out into herpes sores! then i went to do the doctors and they put me on antivirals and it cleared up after 4 days! if it worries you, i would go and get checked for a peace of mind. if it isnt anything bad, great! if it is heroes, it honestly isnt the end of the world
i got blood tested today for HSV 1&2. Is that as accurate as getting swabbed? Thank you.
its accurate but i think you need to be exposed for over 4 weeks for your blood to pick it up in your system. getting a sore swabbed is accurate. keep me updated!!!

i dont think it is weird. I shave, and underwear gives me razor burn on my butt and around my anus. unless they look like lesions, i wouldnt worry about them x
i would still keep an eye for any changes. herpes can spread too, mine did to my inner thighs, so it could have well spread to your anus area. but again, it isnt the end of the world. just take pictures every day and see if there are any quick changes
its turning into sores so now im 100% sure its herpes. at least my mom knows now and is being supportive.
