Hi. I am having a multitude of mysterious symptoms and I'm just getting worse. My body is so exhausted, I have terrible weight loss, I run unexplained fevers... and so much more. It's so incredibly difficult not knowing what is happening to my body - as I'm sure most of you understand. Anyway, my question is this - my doctor ordered an immunoglobulin profile (IgG, IgA, IgM). This was after a positive ANA and I haven't had my follow up, so I'm not sure what direction he's going in with that. However, a nurse friend of mine is convinced I have Lyme Disease. Will this immunoglobulin rule that out? Will a normal result mean no Lyme or would it mean I need further Lyme testing? Would an abnormal result in any of these antibodies definitely point to Lyme specifically. If you can provide any info concerning this, it would be so helpful. Thanks!
