Hi everyone! I have been suffering with hairloss and itchy scalp for 2 years brought on my stopping the birth control. I have just had my plasma blood results back and 3 of which are quite low but I'm not sure if they could be contributing?
Copper - 12.7 umol ( reference 12.5 - 25 umol )
Zinc - 12.5 umol ( reference 11.5 - 20)
Manganese - 11.7 nmol ( 9- 40)
Urine iodine test - 0.82 umol ( 103ug)
Please help I am so desperate! X

Sorry but I do not know what the above lab levels mean at all. Since your levels are low in some areas, you might try to take a daily multi vitamin. If they upset your stomach try a low iron or no iron vitamin.
Sometimes an itchy scalp could be an allergic reaction caused by contact allergies, or even food allergies. You may want to change to a milder shampoo that has something soothing like menthol or aloe .
