I had cataract surgery in my right eye this past Wednesday. I opted for the Vivity EDOF IOL. My vision was actually excellent the next day. Distance measured at 20/20, great intermediate, near/close not as good but that was expected with the EDOF lens.
What’s been happening though since the next day after surgery is what I would call flickering/spasms in the operated eye. It happens quite often … every second or so … sometimes it will take a break (especially when I don’t focus on anything close or intermediate) but then comes back. No new floaters, no showers of dots, no curtains in my field of view (i.e. no symptoms of retinal detachment). Just spasms that won’t stop. Surgeon said it’s the eye getting used to the new lens, but I have never heard of this happening to anyone who had cataract surgery. It’s very annoying. Feels like when your eyelid starts thobbing uncontrollably except it’s not the eyelid, it’s inside the eye.
Anyone here have a similar experience?
