hi anyone out there been refused PIP but have post polio syndrome. I have just had to apply for PIP and wonder if anyone with polio has had their PIP refused.
Tuve que solicitar el PIP, me denegaron en marzo. Me quitaron el permiso de conducir del DVLA, eso significaba el coche!!!!! Sin embargo, recibí más dinero porque necesito ayuda en el interior debido a mi movilidad. Según la documentación que me enviaron, mi movilidad está bien y puedo caminar sin ayuda, pero necesito ayuda en el interior?? Apelé una vez más, pero aún no obtuve suficientes puntos. Ahora estoy esperando una audiencia oral en la que seré entrevistado por médicos. Estoy preocupado porque dependo de mi tarjeta azul si voy a cualquier lugar y nuestro ayuntamiento solo parece darlas a personas que tienen DVLA. Compré mi coche de movilidad de ellos, afortunadamente mi marido acababa de jubilarse, pero hemos tenido que usar una parte de nuestro dinero de pensión. Si no tengo un coche, no podré salir sola. Mucha suerte con tu solicitud.

Same here, I live on my own so if they take the car away that's me finished..I love the independence it gives me..My right leg is actually paralysed and need to wear a full length KAFO and use a crutch for balance..left leg has become weaker due to overuse and painful hips and joints...

Tuve que ir a un tribunal y me concedieron mi PIP. El panel quedó horrorizado de que tuviera que ir a juicio, ya que claramente estaba discapacitado. ¡Hay que estar preparado para luchar! Sé que la British Polio está ayudando a muchas personas.
