I had a tonsillectomy 17 days ago and have been recovering well but I have a build up of mucus and feel the need to clear my throat a lot recently. I also have a really bad night cough that is keeping me awake. Today I noticed blood in my mucus. Is this normal? How long until I feel 100% normal again?

Recovery from a tonsillectomy can take time. If the blood is only tiny flecks that is normal but if it gets worse you need to see your doctor.
Are you eating and drinking normally. You also need to eat things like dry toast to keep the incision site clear of a build up of scar tissue. Maybe that is what you are experiencing? If you are existing on ice cream and soup that is not ideal.
