Post Urolift Adjustment, bladder control, orgasm pain

I am 3.5 weeks post Urolift. I had very little discomfort after the procedure, and I feel things are generally going well. Not knowing what is "normal" for this period of healing time is difficult, and as you guys know, aside from this forum - detailed info on Urolift recovery is very limited. I was taking Flomax for about 10 years up until a week ago. The good news is that my flow is stronger than it has every been. The not so good news is that I have the urge to pee every time I stand up. I've been holding off, seeing if I can train my bladder to get fuller before telling me it needs to empty. But this part is going slow. I'm wondering if any of you experienced this. I see my doc for the first time post this Monday, so I am eager to ask him questios about this. It's really annoying, and I'm getting worried that I may have traded increased urgency for a more forceful stream. Secondly, I have no discomfort after three weeks. Except, erections create a dull ache in the groin, it feels like the prostate does not like it. I had an orgasm a few days ago and it hurt like hell, so I figured that's out for awhile. I'd appreciate any comments about your experience in general, and if you can speak to the issues I raise here, I'd especially be grateful.

Hey Buddy

Give it some time. It will get better. They tell you no sex for 4 weeks. They want to make sure that the clips a hear to the prostate. How many did you have.

Being that you said that your orgasm hurt is because it is new and it may be a little swollen. That will go down. If it make you feel better take a hot bath for about 20 minutes. If there is any inflammation this will calm it down.

I had the Urolift almost 8 years ago. Had 4 clips still open. My orgasm are very intense which I like

One other thing you have to remember is that all men are different and we all heal at different rates

Be safe…Ken By the way I’m 66

I am just the opposite of you. I took flomax for about 10 years I had my urolift this past Monday and they cathed me after procedure. Took the cath out Thursday and i cannot pee not one drop . Having to self catheter

Anthony,

I second your request for people to chime in on how long it took for orgasms to feel normal after the urolift. 2 weeks was definitely not enough for me. I am not sure what was worse, the pain I felt of having my wife feel so bad for the pain I was in.

I have had the procedure 3 years prior to this date. My orgasms are all still painful. I am considering legal action.

I had the Urolift done 8 years ago. My orgasms are great. I would have it checked
