Had pre op stuff done today...all well so far..op on 24th..it seams real now, just want to get it done and then I can get on with real life!
Hi Jane,
wishing you all the best for your opp. hope all goes well,
hugs,
Lynne x.
It will be fine. I was wetting myself not knowing what was going to happen. Don't know what I was worried about. If you have had a child it's no way that bad. I'm 10 weeks in and feeling better everyday know. At first I thought my recovery was going to take forever then Al of a sudden it's all coming together. I have to have my other hip done soon but not worried about it this time.
Hope all goes well. Do what the physio and nurses tell you and can not go wrong.
Take care and God bless x
won't b long before your on the other side with us then just remember to take things a day at a time and don't rush xx
Not long to wait then!! You will be so pleased you have had it done. You might not think so the first two weeks, but looking back it wasn't too bad, I could always come to this site for comfort
good luck look forward to hearing how you get on.
Carol😄Xx

All the best
Big hugs

Thank you...to all of you...I have been so encouraged by this forum...just sorting the house, the job, the children and the animals out then off i go!
Best of luck with the op op Jane. We will be close enough in our recovery. So I'll be following your progress. Mines 25th September. What happens at pre op? I'm intrigued to know. Mine will be a week before my op. Going for a talk on hip replacement & after care & physio on Wednesday evening so might find out more then.
Gossip, please share about your talk on replacement. I am one step behind you. Going for consultation with orthopedic surgeon Aug 12. I'll be following both of you.

Great attitude, Jane
I am 9 weeks post op and I was looking forward to my op just so that I could get my life back. Might sound strange, but I actually enjoyed the whole experience because I knew there was going to be a really positive outcome. You go girl, you are going to be fine!
Kind regards Linda xx
Hi Debbie I will put up about the talk afterwards. I hope it enlightens me a bit more. But this forum gives so much information I'm not sure I'll learn any more at the talk. Maybe just what approach they use & what type of hip whether it will be cemented/not cemented. Or metal/ceramic. I'll let u know. Good luck tomorrow with Ur consultation.
