Pregabalin for anxiety

Hi - I've just been prescribed a drug called 'pregabalin'. I've started on 75mg once a day, but after a week it's to increase to x2 75mg daily, and the plan is to max it out at x3 75mg daily in a month (ongoing). This is for two things: (1) I suffer from anxiety disorder, and (2) I've been suffering chronic neuropathic pain for nearly 11 months, and take 400mg tramadol daily, as well as gabapentin and amitriptyline. My GP wanted me to reduce these other meds, especially the gabapentin, and place me on pregabalin.

I've taken this drug for the past couple of days, and it's made me feel 'woozy' and sleepy (although, to be fair, the other drugs did that too). But I feel better on these - as an immediate response - than I was before. Certainly no nasty side-effects.

Has anyone else taken this? Have you experienced side-effects? Has the drug been effective?

Am on pregablin 150mg in morning and at night and it's been great BUT for the love of god don't miss taking one tablet cos it's hell to pay! The next day is hell

Tap Pregabalin into Google scholar and see what you get.

be very careful with pregab,  gabapentin is same drug, its really addicrive very quickly. 28 x 25mg caps over 21 days and was addicted, am struggling, guts tied in knots, burps. cant breathe, feel so ill,  you taking lot of meds, tramadol same kind of drug. you could be addicted to all of them, you dont know your addicted until you stop taking it,  would hate anyone to go through what I am right now. rosie
