Problems losing weight post hysterectomy

I had a hysterectomy in December last year (cancer etc), I would like to lose 2 stone before I see my consultant in July (have to see him every 6 months for 3 years), I am currently trying the 5:2 diet and not having much luck, I have been good, on the fast days I have a small bowl of bran flakes and a handful of sultanas, then I don't eat again until the evening, usually a salad of some kind, no bread with it, I don't pig out on the non fast days either, I am vegetarian so not having fatty meat etc, excercise wise, I walk my dogs for an hour in the morning and the same in the afternoon, I also have a treadmill, I don't use it every day but a couple of times a week, I haven't been able to get back into gardening etc yet as this is still a problem after my op, any help/advice would be much appreciated, even suggestions for other types of diets would be considered.

Thanks

It sounds to me that you are doing brilliantly and shouldn't change a thing. Give it a bit longer. D

But like most dieters, I want to lose weight yesterday , it's so disheartening when you get on the scales and nothing has happened, I'm not going to give up though.

Give it a week or 2 - you sound like your doing really well - it may be that your not eating enough - try a protein drink for you lunch or a fat free yoghurt with oats or granola or with berries for your lunch so you are eating a bit more x even a home made soup (butternut etc) x let us know how you do x

OK thanks, I'll give that a go, didn't think for one moment I might not be eating enough.
